With proven abilities in providing recruitment solutions across contingent, executive search & contract staffing as well as providing market research analysis, we are global recruitment partners to many businesses operating in renewable energy generation, downstream energy solutions, disruptive technology (such as EV) and green finance.

The Company has recently secured investment to expand geographically, with particular emphasis on the USA, Australia, mainland Europe and China. The company is also expanding its functional capabilities with significant investments made in contract recruitment and consulting services.

As part of our growth strategy we are hiring a Global Head of Client Services to join our senior leadership team in London. The purpose of the role is to build and lead a global team of dedicated sales managers, as well as taking a lead in organising and advocating business development across all recruitment divisions..


  •  Build the Business Development (aka Client Services) division with budget for global headcount growth

  • Manage a team of 4 senior BD managers spread across 3 continents. Grow this team to 8 over the next 24 months, mostly from internal promotions

  • Work as part of the Board of Directors to steer the company generally

  • Responsible for delivering sales figures against quarterly agreed budgets.

  • Responsible for developing new markets

  • Work with Talent Acquisition to make appropriate hires

  • Work with Learning & Development to upskill existing team

  • Work with the Board to devise ambitious but realistic annual budgets. Set and agree individual quarterly and annual performance objectives for team

  • Carry out employee performance reviews and appraisals

  • Identify and win new business for the company across Europe, APAC and USA, attending client meetings regularly.

  • Driving strategy and attendance at conferences

  • Market map key clients and prospects seeking staffing solutions in the Renewable Energy industry

  • Create and deliver client specific bids, tenders and proposals

  • Develop, implement, and execute sales philosophies and strategies, leading to new client generation

  • Develop specific niche focus in The Green Recruitment Company’s core delivery verticals, Renewable Energy Generation, Energy Procurement and Solutions, Disruptive Technology & Green Finance

  • Develop and maintain long-term, trust-based, relationships with TGRC partners


  • Global business development experience within a staffing business

  • Market knowledge of Energy or Green Technology sectors

  • Track record of breaking into new accounts

  • Proven success in hiring, managing and developing teams

  • International experience, ideally in the US or China

  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal

  • Positive attitude and strong team / cooperation skills

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise

  • High level of personal motivation and accountability
